Men's Ministry

Time set aside for men to encourage and be encouraged.

The Men's Group meets every month to socialise, get to know and generally support each other as we chat about the issues that Christian men face and as we pray together. Each month we do something different - we particularly enjoy things like curry nights with beer, trips, breakfasts, Ten Pin Bowling and darts evenings. Each year we also enjoy a massive clay pigeon shoot and BBQ.

As well as relaxing we try to help help each other to understand and live as Oli 180men of faith.

The group is open to all men - you don't need to have a faith to be part of the group - though it helps to understand who we are and why we meet up together.  We're not perfect blokes, but we want to help each other to be better husbands, friends, neighbours, etc.

Come and join us - or Contact Us for more information.

Planning your Visit

Hello!

If you're new to church don't worry, so were most of us at some point! If you're thinking about coming along on a Sunday here are some basic bits and pieces you might find helpful.

Dress code - we don't have one! Just come in what you're comfortable in - God's much more interested in what's going on inside you than what you look like outside!

Singing - yes, we sing songs of worship and songs to encourage each other. Some of the songs are traditional but many have a contemporary feel to them. usually our music team of keyboards, guitar's, flutes and drums lead the singing. If you don't know the songs, or aren't really a 'singer' that's OK - you don;t have to join in!

Children: We love
children and they are always welcome. Sunday mornings start with 'The Lighthouse' especially for children. Check out the 'Children and Youth' page for more info. Children are then welcome to sit with their children during the main service - we try to make it accessible for them, but for younger one's you may want to bring something to help them. For the very youngest (0-6) we run and supervised creche during the service.

Bible teaching - this is a key part of what we do on Sundays. Each week one of our ministers explains a part of the Bible and helps us see how it applies to our lives the rest of the week. Our Bible teaching times are massively important to us because we believe that the Bible is God's word and the primary way he speaks to us - so we unashamedly make time to read and study it each week.

How long? The Sunday morning service is a maximum of 1hr 15 min.

If you need more information or would like help in some other way please feel free to email or call our minister, Stuart Balmer at stuart.fressingfieldbaptist@gmail.com or on 07864 654688. We look forward to saying hello in person soon.
